Last week in New Zealand, The North Face team made the best out of the weather conditions, jumped in a helicopter and went for a spin in the high country outside of Wanaka, to ski the South-East face of Mount Tydall. After an early 8:00am rendez vous at the Harris Mountain Heli office and a quick hit of caffeine, the team loaded up the chopper and flew into the upper Matukituki Valley, ascending and heading deep into the magical surrounding mountains.
With a solid snow pack, minimal risk of avalanches and a fresh cover of white fluffy stuff, they picked off lines from the helicopter, like kids in candy store.
